The Fraternal Order of Police hosted a Community Action Rally at Mandarin Community Club. The rally focused on real solutions to the rising murder rate, gang violence, and school violence. Family members of two recent murder victims shared their stories, and the audience learned more on the SHADCO and Crime Stoppers programs. Speakers included Judith Chappell, victim's family member (daughter was murdered), Terri Reed, victim's family member (husband was murdered), Angela Corey, Nelson Cuba (Fraternal Order of Police) Gary Dickinson (Shadco) and Wylie Hodges (Crime Stoppers). Several citizens voiced their concerns and offered their solutions during the Q&A period that followed the presentations.
